Enchante Gallardo Sets Two Continental Records at 35th AIDA World Depth Championship Pre-Competition

Limassol, Cyprus — September 20, 2025

USA Freediving athlete Enchante Gallardo delivered two extraordinary performances at the recent AIDA World Depth Championship Pre-Competition in Limassol, setting two North American Continental Records in the span of just 48 hours.

On September 16, Gallardo completed a 100-meter / 328-foot Free Immersion (FIM) dive—an historic milestone that places her among only five women in the world ever to hit 100 meters in this discipline. Free Immersion is performed without fins, with the athlete using only her arms to pull along the rope for both her descent and ascent. This discipline is known for its extreme physical and mental demands, requiring precise technique, exceptional relaxation, and true endurance given the longer dive times.

Just two days later, on September 18, Gallardo broke her own North American Continental Record in Constant Weight (CWT), with a 103-meter / 338-foot monofin dive. This performance marks her as the 11th deepest woman diver in history.

Gallardo is already one of the most accomplished freedivers in the world, finishing #1 overall globally for women in AIDA women’s rankings last year. These latest results confirm her status as one of the leading athletes in the sport today.

Achieving 100m in FIM is a rare and elite benchmark in freediving. With this dive, Gallardo joins an exceptionally small group of women ever to break the triple-digit barrier in this discipline. Her dive showcased precision technique and remarkable composure, as she had been chasing this number for many seasons.

Her 103m CWT record represents both progress and consistency. Performing at this depth requires a combination of power, equalization mastery, and depth adaptation. It is especially notable given that she made this dive only two days after conquering the 100-meter mark in FIM.

“Enchante’s performances this week reflect the highest level of athleticism in our sport,” said Ricardo Paris, President of USA Freediving. “Breaking 100 meters in Free Immersion places her in one of freediving’s most exclusive circles, and following that with a 103-meter Constant Weight dive two days later is a testament to her relentless dedication and spirit. The United States is incredibly proud to have Enchante representing us on the world stage.”
