Limassol, Cyprus — October 3, 2025
USA Freediving athlete Enchante Gallardo delivered a landmark performance at the 2025 AIDA Freediving World Championship, earning two medals and breaking two North American Continental Records in the process—solidifying her place among the deepest and most accomplished women in the history of the sport.
Silver Medal & Continental Record — 96m CWT Bi-Fins
Gallardo started the championship strong on the women’s Constant Weight Bi-Fins (CWTB) day with a 96-meter / 315-foot dive, breaking her own North American Continental Record. The dive earned her a silver medal, finishing second overall among the world’s top athletes.
This performance also places Gallardo within the top 10 deepest women of all time in the CWTB discipline.
Gold Medal & Continental Record — 104m CWT
One week later, Gallardo followed with a historic descent to 104 meters / 341 feet in Constant Weight (CWT), surpassing her previous Continental Record set during the pre-competition. This dive marks her as the deepest American woman and earned her the gold medal—apparently the first gold medal ever woman by an American woman for CWT at the AIDA World Championships.
“Both dives were the result of years of hard work, focus, patience, and trust in the process,” said Enchante Gallardo. “To represent Hawai’i and the U.S. on the global stage and come home with gold and silver is an incredible honor. These results mean a lot, not just for me but for the entire community that has helped me grow as an athlete and person.”
